Our Mission, Vision, & Values

The Messenger Center (TMC) is a biblically-based, discipleship counseling and education nonprofit organization.

Our Mission

We guide hurting people into Christ-centered healing.

Our Vision

A full-service counseling, discipleship, and education ministry that transforms hurting people into a life of freedom.

TMC envisions qualified counselors, nutritionists, personal trainers, and biblically-based educators working together with churches to guide hurting people into biblical healing – using classes, events, books, creative arts, social networking, devotionals, printed matter, CDs, and DVDs as tools for healthy living in freedom with Christ.

Our Core Values

God has spoken to us through His Word, and we recognize it as the truth and the final authority for our lives.

Your Word is truth. (John 17:17)

If you love me, you will obey what I command. And I will ask the Father and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever. The spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him.  But you know him, for he lives in you and be in you. (John 14:15-17)

Recovery and restoration are possible when we face our hurts with truth and integrity.

Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”  (John 8:31-32)

God is worthy of our honor.

Ascribe to the Lord the glory due to His name. (Psalm 29:2).

“I tell you the truth, he who believes has everlasting life.” (John 6:45)

Every person is created in God’s image. God places high value on each person’s life, potential and eternal future, regardless of an individual’s age, sex, race, religion, nationality, income or marital status.

God’s temple is sacred, and you are that temple. (1 Corinthians 3:17)

Intentional Discipleship

God calls us to pass along the knowledge, skills and opportunities that He has entrusted to us.

The things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others. (2 Timothy 2:2)

Each of us must take deliberate ownership for our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health.

I have chosen the way of truth; I have set my heart on your laws. (Psalm 119:30)

Jesus Christ can work healing and restoration in our lives. He desires our wholeness and partners with us to bring about transformation. Healing is a lifelong process and will be complete when we go to live with Him.

By His wounds we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5)

If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! (2 Corinthians 5:17)

“For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin- because anyone who has died has been freed from sin.” (Romans 6:6-7).
